I started my hiking tour on Saturday 2:00 am UTC. The peak is 2.043m high and i started on 860m. My backpack weighs about 17 kg. That’s hard to climb. Anyway, it was my goal to reach the top and to activate the mountain. The weather was fantastic not too warm and not too cold. At the summit, I decided a short time to be QRV, later to be able to circumnavigate the mountain yet. This was a violent decision because I had to go back down to 1,200 meters in altitude and then re-ascend to 1,700 meters of altitude. Overall, I was 14 hours on the road and QRV about 1.5 hours. I could make 3 QSOs on 15m and thus enable the mountain.
My Equipment:
- FT-817ND
- X-108 (because it make 20W)
- ZM-4
- Hombrew Dipol – Monoband 15m
- 2x LiPo 11,1V / 5.500 Ah
- Step-up Converter
- SWR-Meter
- Buddipole (mini)
- fiberglass mast (10m)
The Propagation for 10/15m was OK, a little bit weak. Connections within Europe was quite possible. So i Worked with CT and IT. Then I had to again degrade my equipment to continue my hike.
Gratulation zur Erstaktivierung des Entschenkopf!
